Braving the Cold!
All of my family and friends know that I've been working on building my portfolio, but it's hard to coordinate schedules in order to get together! My friend and coworker, Leila, was more than happy to help me, even though she works two jobs. Leila is beautiful inside and out and I jumped at the chance to take some gorgeous pictures of her!
We picked a Sunday morning and I had found a covered bridge about 20 minutes from my house. The weather was overcast and cold, but we were determined to get these photos! Leila showed up in a red dress that was the perfect color for such a grey day...it really stood out and added a pop of color to the drab winter day!
Once we got to this adorable little bridge, I was pleasantly surprised to find the Christmas wreath still up and the lovely decorative doors! Unfortunately, I wasn't too thrilled with the cold and the wind that was also there! Brrrr! Poor Leila was such a good sport, taking off her coat and posing however I asked her to, regardless of the fact she was obviously freezing! We moved quickly and left after about 20 minutes.
We opted to grab some food and coffee so we could warm up before heading to the next location. The sun was trying to peek through the clouds and the lightening was beautiful! The tall grass made for a great place to take a few photos (and my favorites of the day!) before I called it quits so Leila could go home and get warm!
Overall, it was a great time spent with a friend and a fun photoshoot! I can't wait to go back to these locations once the weather gets warmer!
