A New Normal
Wow. Who would have guessed that this would be our new normal: stores closed, wearing masks when you have to go out, unimaginable numbers of people unemployed, spending all your time at home and sadly, no idea when it will end. For many, this is a very difficult time. I've been trying to take it one day at a time, so I decided to document with pictures of what a "normal" day looks like for me!
Here in Connecticut, springtime can be beautiful...or it can be cold and raw and rainy! Everyday, we hope and pray for nice weather so we can get outside! Rainy days are great for naps and snuggling, but getting fresh air and running off some energy is priceless!
For me, the hardest part of being quarantined is trying to keep a very active 3-year-old busy and trying to explain why we can't go to all the fun places we used to go to regularly. He knows people are "sick" and places are closed because of it. It still breaks my heart when he asks to go to the bouncy house or the dinosaur place or the park and I have to tell him we can't yet. But the positive side of all this is that I'm getting to spend more time with my family. I also have a lot more time to work on my hobbies! I know this will all pass eventually and I'll have some pictures to show my son when he's older and asked me about this time in our lives...
